Atlas Jigsaw Maps is the brainchild of Kate Callaghan, a former primary school teacher, who realised that educational jigsaw puzzles were a resource sorely lacking in schools. |

Kate worked in various schools where she saw that children loved being able to point out places on maps that they've heard of from parents, books or television, or where they've been on holiday. She also saw that children enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. |

Atlas Jigsaw Maps was set up with the aim of providing quality and durability in products for the educational market at a reasonable price. The maps were designed through collaborative discussions with teachers, parents and children and the company continues to be driven by the opinions of all three. |

Kate is married with three children and it was while the first was six months old that she really turned her attention to producing jigsaw maps. Kate lives with her family near Bristol. |
