about the puzzles
bullet Fun
Most children enjoy doing puzzles and it's good for them. Making jigsaws stimulates problem-solving abilities as children work out how to put the pieces together; looking at colour, shape and then self-correcting for sense. How much better if the subject of the puzzle could be another learning tool, such as a map.

bullet Wood
Atlas Jigsaw Maps' puzzles are made of plywood. Pieces can’t be forced to fit when they’re not supposed to, unlike flimsy cardboard ones, and they're not so easily lost.

bullet Packaging
The puzzles come in a durable, brightly coloured plastic buckets which can be neatly stacked in a storage cupboard.

bullet Curriculum
The designs on the puzzles are appealingly, colourful and clear. They contain all the information required by the QCA Geography Scheme of Work with many additional details, such as flags, sea-depths and extra cities, rivers and mountain ranges.

bullet Quiz
Every jigsaw comes with a guide map and a quiz based on the design. The quiz questions range in difficulty to accomodate all abilities and can be used as a starting point for teachers designing their own worksheet.
